Financial Education for Indonesia’s Migrant Workers
PT Simpan partners with Mariku AIC Indonesia to provide financial literacy and investment education for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) heading to Japan, helping them achieve financial independence.
Every month, many Indonesians undergo training in hopes of working abroad to improve the welfare of themselves and their families. These individuals are known as Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI).
One of the companies that helps facilitate overseas placement is PT Mariku AIC Indonesia, also known as Karir Jepang. Mariku is a manpower placement company operating in Indonesia that has established strategic partnerships with leading vocational training institutions (LPK) in Indonesia and various Technical Intern Training Programs (TSK) in Japan. Through these collaborations, Karir Jepang provides job seekers in Indonesia with access to employment opportunities in Japan that align with their skills and interests.
Mariku’s vision is to equip PMIs with the best and most holistic preparation, so they can return home as financially independent citizens. To support this mission, Mariku has partnered with PT Simpan Asset Management as a financial literacy partner for PMIs preparing to work in Japan.
This initiative aligns with Simpan’s vision to improve the welfare of Indonesians by fostering a better understanding of investing and providing access to transparent mutual fund investments.
This partnership was officially marked by the signing of a collaboration agreement at Mariku AIC Indonesia’s office, represented by Manda Widya Permas, Director of PT Mariku, and Ratih Marissa, Director of Client Business at PT Simpan.
Through this partnership, Simpan hopes its financial literacy programs can empower PMIs with the knowledge and tools to manage their finances and invest wisely, so that when they return to Indonesia, they have the savings to achieve their dreams, whether it’s building their dream home, funding their children’s education, starting their own business, or fulfilling a pilgrimage.
