Workshop for Family Offices with Dentons HPRP
Simpan Asset Management and Dentons HPRP co-hosted an exclusive private wealth workshop on managing family wealth, covering key legal and investment considerations for establishing a family office.
This week, we partnered with Dentons HPRP, one of Indonesia’s top five largest law firms, for a closed-door workshop with private wealth clients, held at Dentons HPRP’s office.
The workshop explored both investment and legal considerations in establishing and managing a family office. Nicholas Hilman, Co-Founder of Simpan Asset Management, together with Amit Dighe, Founder & CEO of AXSA Singapore, shared insights on structures that enable access to global portfolios for locally-based Family Offices, portfolio construction of a globally-diversified investment portfolio across Dollar and Rupiah assets, across private and public markets, as well as the importance of diversifying away from 'Home Bias'. Before founding Simpan, Nicholas was at BlackRock, a global investment manager. Amit brings over two decades of experience, having previously led the Private Wealth Management team covering South East Asia at Goldman Sachs.
From the legal side, Rio Pasaribu, Partner at Dentons HPRP focusing on Capital Markets and Private Wealth, guided participants through key actions for effectively structuring and protecting family wealth. This includes considerations around wills, trusts and estate planning. With over 12 years of experience in Capital Markets, Financial Institutions, and Private Equity & Venture Capital, Rio brought a wealth of practical insights to the discussion.
At Simpan Asset Management, we aim to help private wealth clients think beyond borders and family trees, and build investment portfolios that grow, protect, and sustain wealth for generations.
